Hi John, this is very interesting, thank you for sharing, and I rejoin you on lots of points.
What I retain the most here, and what people who want to scale an online product is the important investment in time and money they must be ready to do.
The Web is full of advice and success stories based on organic growth only. The truth is that even organic costs money, you just spend it differently.
yeah, organic growth costs you time or money or both. The good thing about organic is that usually it's evergreen and keeps working even when you stop spending time on it, while paid ads stop bringing traffic the moment you turn them off
Great post thanks. My only app making money is mostly from reddit , as you mention just be useful and people look into you. But conversion rates very low . Maybe unrelated to reddit but I think a lot of devs there who think “I could build that”. It’s a poker app but had as many people ask to help code it as buy it!
YouTube works really well for me as a "How-To tutorials" example here: https://www.youtube.com/@bybrand/videos
I started with screen recording simple, and today I'm hiring Spokespersons freelance.
cool channel

Hello there,
I hope this communique finds you in a moment of stillness. Have huge respect for your work.
We’ve just opened the first door of something we’ve been quietly crafting for years—
A work not meant for markets, but for reflection and memory.
Not designed to perform, but to endure.
It’s called The Silent Treasury.
A place where judgment is kept like firewood: dry, sacred, and meant for long winters.
Where trust, patience, and self-stewardship are treated as capital—more rare, perhaps, than liquidity itself.
This first piece speaks to a quiet truth we’ve long sat with:
Why many modern PE, VC, Hedge, Alt funds, SPAC, and rollups fracture before they truly root.
And what it means to build something meant to be left, not merely exited.
It’s not short. Or viral. But it’s built to last.
And if it speaks to something you’ve always known but rarely seen expressed,
then perhaps this work belongs in your world.
The publication link is enclosed, should you wish to open it.

Warmly,
The Silent Treasury
A vault where wisdom echoes in stillness, and eternity breathes.
